Dënniß ßchrööder isn’t having the best of starts to his Thunder tenure. Maybe it’s because he’s so used to the empty Hawks arena, or he’s possibly misplaced his Magic Lederhosen, but his already questionable shooting is way down this season.
I would try to attribute this to the “Westbrook Effect” (which is something I made up just now but makes me sound like an intelligent, well-reasoned NBA thinker), but the problem with that strategy is, ßchrööder doesn’t play with Westbrook all that often. ßchrööder is the backup PG, and, despite what the end of this game appeared to show, teams don’t run two-PG lineups all that often, especially when neither of them can shoot like the Westbrook-ßchrööder tandem. So the “Westbrook Effect”, whatever it is, doesn’t come into play here.
Unless…unless the “Westbrook Effect” is something that happens to players while Westbrook is on the bench! Wow! I’m a genius!
