Jeremy Lamb has been in Charlotte for a long time now. Four years, has it really been that long? It seems like just last week he was being picked up as a reclamation project from an unsuccessful stint with the Thunder. That team apparently has made a habit of trading away great players for no reason, and maybe you can include Lamb on that list.
I am now having semi-fond memories of him and Perry Jones III being rookies together, but those memories are tainted by the fact that Jones isn’t in the league anymore. If the Hornets really wanted to win my allegiance (which they do, I would even change my name to FlightOfTheHornet or something), they would pluck that guy from the G-league and reunite him with Lamb.
Lamb still hasn’t fully reached his potential from when he was drafted, but he’s still a nice scorer off the bench or whatever. I remember folks were really high on him initially, but his slow start kind of weeded out all the unsure folks on his hype train. Including me. I wrote him off, and then rewrote him back on when he started double-digiting games regularly. Pretty sure I didn’t call him a bust at any point, though. Maybe I did.
