We’re going to ignore the stuff that Enes Kanter did that didn’t end up in this video (turnovers, bricks, lack of defense, etc) and just assume that he had a good game tonight. Okay? Everyone cool with that? Because I don’t want to live in a world where a guy puts up 23/24/7 off the bench and didn’t have a great game.
Admittedly, his stat totals were a little inflated by the ridiculous amount (2) of overtime periods he was allowed to play in. My stance on stats acquired in overtime is well known and does not need to be repeated. But still. That’s a lot of stats. Apparently the last time someone got 20/20/5 (which isn’t TOO arbitrary) was Charles Barkley back in… 1986? Or something. Did I hear that right? I can’t really imagine Barkley coming off the bench in the first place.
7 assists is a lot, but be warned, a bunch of them were lame Jokic-esque handoffs at the top of the key for layups. He did have some nice passes to Mario Hezonja, apparently those two have some chemistry that I was not aware of, but don’t go into this expecting insane passing wizardry.
