In the interest of transparency and openness, I must inform you of this stat from Mario Hezonja’s performance tonight before you watch the corresponding highlight video: he went 6-of-18 from the field.
But if I wanted to fill my quota of Euros tonight, this had to be one of the vids I made. So I’m sorry, quotas are quotas and you gotta fill them or you’re gonna get canned. That’s just how it is. “Hate the game, not the player” is what they always say.
The good thing about Hezonja this year is he is definitely not afraid of failure. He wants to shoot, he wants to show that he can still be good. This has had a deleterious affect on his percentages and impact stats, but his raw totals is looking decent. He’s almost at 10 ppg this year! He was also almost there last year, but that was in more minutes; he’s chucking like a maniac this season.
I don’t know how much longer Coach Fizdale is going to stand for it, though. At some point he’ll have to tone it down, right?
