Miles Plumlee 14 Points Full Highlights (11/9/2018)

DTB UNEXPECTED HAPPENING ALERT! DTB UNEXPECTED HAPPENING ALERT! THIS IS NOT A TEST! SOMETHING VERY UNEXPECTED JUST HAPPENED IN THE NBA! DTB UNEXPECTED HAPPENING ALERT! REPEAT, THIS IS NOT A TEST!

REASON FOR ALERT: MILES PLUMLEE JUST TOOK ANDRE DRUMMOND OFF THE DRIBBLE FROM THE TOP OF THE THREE POINT LINE!

TWICE!

When I saw that Miles Plumlee had 14 points on 7-for-8 shooting, my first thought was “Trae Young set that dude up for 7 lob jams”. I was wrong. Only one of them was a lob jam set up by Trae Young. And when I saw in the play-by-play that two of them were layups I was, needless to say, unenthused. Who wants to see Miles Plumlee make layups? No one. Oh, how wrong I was.

These were the sickest layups I’ve EVER seen him make. Not because of the layups themselves, but because of how he created them for himself. He took the ball at the top of the arc, and just frickin’ went around Drummond with ball-handling skills that I’ve never seen before from him. You could call one of his moves a “crossover” and not be so wrong. And was that a spin move? It was. He watched that Pascal Siakam video featuring five or six spin moves and figured that if it could work for Siakam, it could work for him too.

With this performance, he brings his field goal percentage on the year to a ludicrous 84 percent, 21-for-28. And somehow, at least some of them aren’t dunks.
