It’s been a long time since I made a Paul Millsap video. I didn’t make any for him last year, because the year before that he was still an All-Star. I need at least 1 full year of non-All-Star-ness before eligibility for my channel is granted. You can point to all those random videos I made of him in Atlanta while he was an All-Star, but I have standards now that I didn’t then.
So he’s eligible this year, because of how underwhelming he was last year. Less than 15 points per game, and even fewer this year. What’s going on with him? Is he sad because he knows he ruined the Nuggets forever? Doubtful. I seem to be the only one who thinks that, even though it’s obviously what happened. Truth is, he’s getting older now. Bigmen can look fine one day and come to work the next and be totally washed up. That’s just how it is. But I’m not ready to fully write-off Millsap quite yet, because he did score 23 points in the first half of this game.
Sidenote: he’s getting paid 30 million this year and next, with next year being a team option. Is there any way the Nuggets pick that up? That’s a lot of money.
