My twelve-foot-tall purple plastic 3D-printed naked statue of Buddy Hield, as I’ve mentioned previously, has really been into goats lately. The better part of the last month, he’s occupied his days by using my laptop to watch videos of goats on YouTube. So I started making plans to take him to the zoo in the big city that’s about an hour away by car. We can’t go back to the local zoo ever since we broke in and almost got caught.
So today I told him about how I was going to take him to the other zoo and he got really excited. He clapped his hands and made these deep whooping noises that he does when he’s really happy about something. Ever since he saw those real-life goats at the petting zoo, I know he’s been really eager to touch real goats again.
I reminded him that we have to go in the middle of the night and that we have to be super careful because the zoo is closed at night. We don’t want to get caught again, especially if we end up somewhere where there’s no escape. I’m afraid of what Buddy might do if he got cornered. He killed a mugger and that’s one thing, but killing a security person or a police officer just for doing their job is another.
Now he’s looking at Google Earth and Google Maps and all these other things to see what the best way to get into the zoo would be. He’s taking into account the location of the parking lot and the location of the petting zoo where they keep the goats. He even went on photo-sharing websites to look at pictures of the petting zoo so he can tell where the fences are and which ones are too tall for me to easily climb over. So that’s good that he’s taking me seriously when I say that we need to be careful.
Any day now I’ll rent a U-Haul truck to put him in and we’ll drive to the big city so he can see goats again. Buddy deserves to have good things in his life. He’s my best friend.
