I pretty much only made this video because it was a straight-up perfect shooting performance (seven-of-seven) with no free throws. That’s perfect for making a highlight video. If Michelangelo had been born half a millennium later, he wouldn’t be writing treatises on the perfect human form for his paintings or sculptures; he would be making Danny Green 17 Points Full Highlights and uploading them to YouTube.
Note: I don’t know if Michelangelo actually wrote treatises on the ideal human form. I don’t know if he wrote treatises period. Sometimes those art dudes, you just don’t want them writing down their words because they suck at writing. Or they can only write good stuff when it’s in the form of prose, and their narrative or informative writing just sucks major balls. I could look up what Michelangelo did or didn’t write in his career but I’m not going to.
Instead, I looked up what the best perfect shooting nights were from this season. You know, I had forgotten that Domantas Sabonis went 12-of-12 in a game. That’s way better than Danny Green. Here’s some other lines better than Green’s:
Nikola Jokic (11/11 FG)
Julius Randle (10/10 FG)
Alex Len (9/9 FG) (LOL[lots of laughs])
Serge Ibaka (8/8 FG) (Green’s not even the best on his own team, that stings)
Still, this performance was pretty good even if it had a lot of layups (lame-ups). Not good enough to write a treatise, but pretty good.
