Let us take a moment to recall the fun times we had when Bojan Bogdanovic was on the Wizards. Sorry: ‘Zards. Hard to remember to keep using that nickname. Anyway, were those fun times or what? I’m pretty sure I was thinking during that time that they were going to make the ECF, they were only one game away. Oh, how times change. If Bogdanovic was on the team now, he probably would be about the same as he is currently, except he’d be constantly wondering why everyone on the team hated each other.
Those near-ECF times remain a fun memory even though the ‘Zards traded a first-round pick for a half year rental of him. They didn’t even end up using him that much by the end of the season, which is weird, because he’s the exact type of player who John Wall makes into a beast. The three-point shooting small forward always feasts with Wall on the court, remember Martell Webster?
But that’s the past. The present is now (the less you think about that sentence the more profound it seems). And now is when Bogdanovic is racking up 20-burgers every game and the Pacers are winning and everyone is all smiles and he still doesn’t do anything but score.
