Hamidou Diallo 18 Points Full Highlights (11/19/2018)

Just two days after Danny Green notched a perfect 7-for-7 shooting performance, rookie sensation (note: the term “sensation” is used loosely and may not refer to anything sensational) Hamidou “Going Ham” Diallo adds his name to that illustrious list with his own 7-of-7 shooting session. But Green took the easy path to this accomplishment by not shooting free throws; Diallo added two free throws to his perfect game, making it something more than perfect. Perfecto, I guess.

Please excuse me while I chisel Diallo’s name onto the stone tablet I keep of players who made seven or more field goals in a game without missing one. Most statistical achievements are ephemeral and unimportant, but this is the kind of stat that deserves to be preserved for alien archaeologists who unearth the remains of a civilization brought down by its own incalculable hubris. I also chiseled the word “fart” on there so that the aliens know how much of a jokester I was in my mortal life.

Anyway, The Thunder have been trying to figure out who should be their fifth starter, but with this performance, I think that question has been answered for them. The Thunder’s first experiment with starting Diallo, just a few days ago, was a total failure (no points, 0-of-1 shooting in 19 minutes), but the second experiment was an unqualified success, so they might as well keep starting him until he turns back into a potato.
