John Collins 18 Points/6 Assists Full Highlights (11/19/2018)

Now that John Collins is back, the Hawks can start trying to win some games here. He was one of their best players last season, a nice surprise with the 21st pick, and even with the injury he had a whole offseason to get better. I’m being sarcastic (the Hawks definitely don’t want to win games), but his presence, assuming he returns to last season’s form, makes it a bit harder to lose them so easily.

Take tonight for example. Atlanta was leading a huge chunk of the game before the wheels fell off in the fourth quarter. Why were they leading? Because of Trae Young manifesting into prime Magic Johnson, but also because of John Collins. He was dishing and he was swishing. Those two things rhyme, by the way. Getting dimes and ringing chimes? Man, I’m good at this.

Oddly, I don’t recall much from his Summer League excursion other than that he dominated. That’s why I’m optimistic I guess, but I wish I could remember HOW he dominated. Was he shooting and making tons of threes? I can see that, especially because he hit two tonight. Was he just dunking all over everybody? Another thing that I can imagine very easily.

Sidenote: I can’t believe all these sweet players were drafted late in the first round and the Bucks ended up with D.J. Wilson. I don’t even hate the guy yet because he doesn’t play nearly enough for me to even form an opinion on him.
