You know, I’ve always secretly thought that Jeremy Lamb should be the second banana on the Hornets behind Kemba Walker. I’ve thought this for a long time. Ever since he’s been on the Hornets, basically. Even his first year there, when he was the sixth banana behind Walker, Batum, Jefferson, Williams, and Lin, I thought he was better then all those other losers.
Well, it’s no longer a secret anymore. I’m making my stance public: Jeremy Lamb should be option numero two in the Hornets’ offense. I feel like this might already be the case since he is currently the second-leading scorer on the team, but there’s no rule that says I can’t have a stance that matches reality. In fact, it’s preferred that my stances match reality. And they always do in the end.
Lamb is playing well enough now that he would be perfect to include in a trade package for Bradley Beal. The Wizards don’t really need Lamb since he’s almost the same player as Otto Porter, but when making big trades like that you have to make sure the PPGs even out. Lamb (14 PPG) + Marvin Williams (7 PPG) = Beal (21 PPG). It’s so easy. Why am I not a GM?
