Vince Carter is immortal. Truly, literally, immortal. I am convinced (get it, conVINCEd????? hah!) of this fact. If you can show me evidence of his mortality, I can show you a picture of my butthole. So, sure, 25,000 points is very exciting and this is a great accomplishment for him. But how much does it mean really when 50,000 points and beyond is an inevitability? He might keep slowing down, but there’s got to be a baseline amount of talent that he can’t dip below, and assuming the NBA continues into perpetuity (a safe assumption), then the points will just keep piling up. Forever. Really forever. Infinity is a long time. There’s no way people won’t consider him the GOAT when he’s the only person left alive in a universe otherwise composed entirely of loose atoms with lightyears of space between them.
Before you get all pissy: yes, I put 25,000 points in the video title but this video does not show all 25,000 of them. That’s my bad. I’m sure the NBA will come out with a video in a few hours that will give you what you want.
Before you get all pissy: yes, I’m aware that there was a heartwarming tribute video played after Vince Carter scored 25,000th point. But this is a channel for highlights, not a channel for sentimental tear-jerking tributes to NBA all-time greats.
