Allonzo Trier 25 Points Full Highlights (11/23/2018)

I’m not really a CBA expert or anything, but doesn’t it seem like Allonzo Trier has used up his two-way contract eligibility and needs to be turned into a real contract now? I’m sure the good folks at the NBA league office are keeping track of things, but maybe they aren’t. Maybe they just assume that they don’t need to pay attention to that stuff until it gets a little later in the season.

Well, if they’re unaware, I’m telling them right now: make sure that Trier gets paid real NBA player money and that he doesn’t just stay on a two-way contract forever in violation of the CBA. Because he is definitely a real NBA player now, any doubt about that was removed after his first few games, and really removed during his early-November hot streak. In fact, since he had a little mini-slump after that, you could refer to this 25-point performance as “Vintage Trier”.

But enough about Trier. He’s great, but I’ve got a bone to pick with the MSG Network people in charge of replays. Here’s the deal: if you slow the replay down too much, for “impact”, you end up not being able to fit the whole thing in before you have to start showing other stuff. Look at the last replay. The best part of the move was the crossover, but it was slowed down so much that they had to cut that part out entirely, and they still couldn’t get the actual ball actually dropping through the actual hoop (which is the whole point of basketball) before they had to cut back to him shooting free throws.

God damn it.
