Two very notable things happened in this game.
Notable thing one: DeAndre’ Bembry achieved the coveted “Scrub by Five” by recording two or more of each of the following stats: points (14), rebounds (7), assists (4), steals (2), and blocks (4). That’s a lot of stats for a guy like Bembry, who is not known as a particularly adept accumulator of stats.
Notable thing two: DeAndre’ Bembry set a new career-high in points with fourteen. His previous high was thirteen, which was a number he had seemed to be stuck on since he scored that same amount three or four times. It took him thirteen shot attempts (also a career-high) to get those fourteen points, but a career-high is a career-high even if you have to take a hundred shots.
Bonus notable thing three: DeAndre’ Bembry blocked four shots, but at no point during any of them did the commentators seem to realize that he had blocked a shot.
That’s a lot of notable things in one video! So why am I left unexcited by it?
