Kyle Korver 19 Points Full Highlights (8/10/2020)

Kyle Korver. Leading scorer for the Bucks. Is this the timeline I want to live in?

No.

But I don’t get a choice about which timeline I live in. I was cursed by some accident of god to inhabit this one, and try as I might, I can’t just will my consciousness into a different one. Believe me, I’ve tried. I try every single night.

If Kyle Korver leads the Bucks in scoring, you know something has gone wrong. That means that either all the better players on the roster are dead, or they’re all sucking, or they’re all getting rested at the same time and the only active players left are Korver, D.J. Wilson, and a chunk of Robin Lopez’ twisty hair clumps. The real answer here is a mix of those: Giannis was resting (fair enough), Middleton and Blopez sucked (compared to how good they should be with Giannis out), and Matthews was dead (RIP).

Since this is the end of the regular season, meaning the lineups being played aren’t anything close to the expected playoff lineups, I’m not too worried. Korver leading the way with 19 points is more of a curiosity than anything else. Still, it better not happen again, because that means there are players on the roster who aren’t playing as well as they should be, and that worries me. I swear, things were so much more relaxing when you could just pencil the Bucks in for an eighth-seed stomping and not have to stress about it.
