I don’t know what my points threshold should be for Boban Marjanovic, and maybe this is too low, but screw it. My efforts to make a highlight video for every game that Boban Marjanovic appears in will continue with this 13-point domination of the Thunder.
“Domination” sounds like too strong of a word for a mere 13 points, but he absolutely changed this game for the Clippers. When he entered for the final time, they were losing, and when he left, they had won easily. That means he’s a “game-changer”. For good or for ill, when he checks in, things are going to be different. Tonight, they were way different, for the way better.
And now that Doc Rivers has come out and said that he (Marjanovic, not Doc, though that would be fun) is going to play every game, maybe 13 points is too few for highlightage. I can easily foresee a future where 20-point games happen regularly for Marjanovic. I’ve been able to foresee this ever since he came into the league, but this is the greatest vote of confidence from a coach I’ve heard yet.
I can also foresee him scoring 100 if he got to use every possession. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
