Exactly one (1) day after he dropped a 16-burger on the Lakers (new rule: anything below twenty points is not a “burger”), Pascal Siakam dropped the same amount of points on the Jazz, who are another one of the disappointing teams in the West at this point. And he did it in much the same way. There were no dunks like last time, but there were spin moves, streaking layups, and even a standstill jumpshot.
At the risk of sounding like I’m repeating myself, the Giannis vibes this guy emanates are more intense and vibetastic than any other player I’ve featured on my channel. He’s advancing the ball. He’s pushing it in transition. He’s running at the rim knowing that he doesn’t need to outmuscle the defender when he uses his length to sneak past them.
I really hate it when I’m forced to write a gushing description that has too much positivity, so I’m going to throw this negative nugget (nega-nugget?) in here: Siakam really makes some weird faces when he’s at the free-throw line. I’ve got a pro-tip for Pascal that I’m going to give to him mano a mano: dude, try to look more stoic when you’re lining up your free throw and not like you’re having some kind of medical episode.
