I have only the vaguest memories of Nikola Vucevic’s short tenure in Philadelphia. So vague that I’m not entirely sure I didn’t just make them up, or that they were artificially implanted in my mind by aliens. That was the year before I started making highlights, and I wasn’t as all-around in my NBA fandom at that point. Maybe I remember him doing something in the Rookie-Sophomore game? Was he even there? It’s all a blur.
In contrast, I have many great and vivid memories of him as a Magician. The time he scored 40, the time he got a triple-double, the time he looked like he could make a really sick pizza (which is all the time), all those times he scored 28 without shooting any free throws… he’s given Orlando fans a lot of fun times. They make talk some crap about him now and then, but deep down, they know he’s been the Magic’s best player overall since Dwight left.
I mean, the only reason he’s supposedly “inefficient” is because he never gets fouled. And that’s supposed to be a bad thing? No one wants to watch free throws, which is why this video of him (where he shoots 8) is not as cool as some of the other ones. When it comes to straight up getting buckets, hardly anyone does it better. Well, a lot of people do, but all of them are far more recognized for their talents than Vucci Mane.
