This question has been bugging me for a long time. Do NBA players get free food at the arenas where they play? Could they just walk off the bench during a timeout to grab some hot dogs or chicken wings? Because, if so, that would be awesome. I can imagine it: kicking back on the bench with a big bag of cheesy popcorn, washing it down with a large Mountain Dew, and just enjoying watching your teammates play while you wait to get subbed in. All for free! I can think of no greater joy in life.
What does that have to do with Mike Dunleavy? Nothing, other than that Dunleavy is an NBA player and would presumably be conveyed these benefits, should they exist. I think of him as a “plastic cup of watery beer and bag of mini-pretzels” kind of guy, but I could be wrong. On the opposite end of the snack spectrum, he could also go for one of those premium burgers. You never know.
