Jabari Parker must have seen the latest RPM stats from ESPN that show him as the worst player in the league, because what I saw of him while making this highlight video was nothing like the Jabari that I’ve seen previously this season. This Jabari was taking good shots, not Melo-style ISO jimbos. This Jabari was passing the rock instead of blindly shooting it whenever the ball was received. This Jabari was acting like he had real human emotions for the benefit of his teammates, even though we know he is a robot who has no emotions and no friends.
The Jabari from the rest of the season, I’m glad that version isn’t on the Bucks anymore. He would have ruined everything. But the Jabari from this game I think could fit pretty much everywhere, because you always need more players who can find the open guy for easy looks, and that’s what Jabari was doing. I would take this version of Jabari on the Bucks as long as he promised not to pout about minutes to the media.
The Bulls, even with improved play from Jabari, still barely managed to squeak a win out against the bottom-of-the-barrel Suns, but unlike previous close encounters with bad teams, Jabari shouldn’t be scapegoated. Instead I will scapegoat Lauri Markkanen for not healing fast enough.
