If you want your basketball to contain lots of scoring and not so much of that other thing, then you’d better turn on the Lakers every chance you get. D’Antoni has always been known as offensively minded coach; but his team is not even trying a little bit on defense anymore. They can put up points in a hurry though, which is super fun. This assortment of cast-offs and straight-up scrubs surrounding a past-his-prime former star provides more entertainment value than you’d think.
Ryan Kelly has been a nice surprise, in that he is a second rounder but is able to play decent minutes without killing his team. Whether he’s actually good or not is up for debate, but it’s irrelevant for now. There is no good or bad with the Lakers. Only offense.
