It only makes sense that, in his first career start, Cole Aldrich would score a career high. This is the first time any team has had enough confidence in him (actually every other big on the Knicks is dead and Cole is not, but that’s basically the same thing as confidence anyway) for him to start.
Whose idea was it to draft an unskilled stiff with a bad back so high in the first place? At least with this one we can’t blame the Knicks.
You can expect a lot of overreactions after this performance, given the eternal New York media machine. People will say stuff like “he deserves more minutes”, “he is better than Stoudemire at this stage in his career”, and “he is an NBA quality player”. Patent falsehoods all. Do not be fooled.
