OJ Mayo 20 Points/6 Assists Full Highlights (4/12/2013)

Remember at the beginning of the season, when everybody thought OJ “Ovinton J’Anthony” Mayo was going to be the savior of the Mavs? He was shooting 45% from three and everybody was freaking out. I admit, I was freaking out a bit myself. Spray-painting ‘OJ MAYO 4 LYF” on the side of my car was an action that I regret taking. And I really should not have thrown all my Bucks gear into the trash to replace it with Mavs stuff. I don’t even like the Mavs! We all should have realized that, since OJ Mayo is still OJ Mayo, he would cool off after a while and revert to his Memphis days (albeit with better three point shooting).

Also, if the stat tabulators are reading this, Mike James looks nothing like OJ Mayo, so why did you credit OJ Mayo with an assist when he was standing twenty feet away from the play? I put together a quick cheat-sheet so this doesn’t happen again:

Mike James: Old. OJ Mayo: Young.
Mike James: Clean-shaven. OJ Mayo: Bearded.
Mike James: Once scored 20 PPG in a season. OJ Mayo: Never has scored 20 PPG in a season.
Mike James: With 3:42 left in the third quarter, often enjoys making entry passes to Vince Carter for face-up jumpers. OJ Mayo: With 3:42 left in the third quarter, usually advances the ball, gives it up to his point guard Mike James, and camps on the three point line, at no point making any sort of pass (entry or otherwise) to Vince Carter for a jumper (face-up or otherwise).
