I was surprised when the Timberwolves signed Corey Brewer this summer. They drafted him, he sucked, so they got rid of him. Then he had an okay year in Denver and all of a sudden they want him back? He looks and plays like he’s strung out on coke.
He’s supposed to be a good defender, but, and I’ve said this before, if you suck on offense it seems that the “defender” label is automatically applied to you. His offense consists of catching Kevin Love touchdown passes and shooting crappy threes.
And somehow he’s actually playing pretty good basketball this year, despite sucking in nearly all facets of the game. I can imagine the advanced stats looking at their graphs and charts in disbelief, their caffeine-addled minds struggling to explain the situation in front of them. Corey Brewer is a good NBA player.
