Jodie Meeks is a rare case: a college sharpshooter picked in the second round, who managed to, eventually, solidify himself as a good NBA shooter. It seems like the extra foot or so really takes its toll for most people, including Jodie early in his career. I remember Bucks fans being really disappointed with his inability to shoot, and then angry as he found his stroke in Philly.
I’d be angry too, if I pinned all my hopes on a second-round rookie being good. Time and time again fanbases get super hyped over their latest horrible draftee. Fellating their GM for another successful draft. Don’t do it. For every Jodie Meeks there are million Darington Hobsons.
