This is getting pretty ridiculous. Drew Gooden has exceeded all my expectations. And everybody else’s, too, I’m sure. There’s no way his jumpshot will be this pure for the rest of the season, right?
Anyway, along with his newfound playing time comes a sweet new celebration after a made basket. If he feels he wasn’t guarded enough, he holds out his arms and makes a confused-looking face as if to say “Why the heck weren’t you guarding me” mixed with “Holy crap I made another long jumper I can’t believe it”. Kind of like Jordan’s shrug but obviously Gooden is a lot better than that scrub.
DeMarcus Cousins even mimicked him after making two not-very-contested-by-Drew-Gooden shots of his own. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery or whatever. Is this the start of a new feud? Nah. Cousins just hates everybody.
