“Why do scrubs always go off on us?” comes the frantic yell of the collective fanbase any time a role-player scores more than twenty points. Their angst is understandable, but ultimately misguided; lots of role-players have good games every night, and they have to come against some other team. Teams that get burned repeatedly by scrubs tend to have poor defense, which is indicative of a much larger problem, namely that their defense couldn’t stop a nowadays Greg Ostertag.
That being said, why do scrubs always go nuts on the Bucks???? I mean, Otto Porter hasn’t scored his much since playing Angry Birds on his iPhone, and career do-nothing Garrett Temple had friggin’ 18. Eighteen points for Garrett Temple! It’s like these losers look at the Bucks bench and say to themselves, “it would be just so easy to romp all over these sad sacks of crap even though I’ve never shown a consistent ability to score large amounts of points.”
