I’m sure Hawks fans are pleased with Dënniß ßchrööder’s performance this season. He looked pretty bad last year, and I figured he was just another Euro bust. Turns out that all he needed to was turn the aggressiveness dial up a little bit. He still isn’t comfortable with NBA threes but he is comfortable taking it to the rack and making people look silly.
Tonight was a new career high for him in points, made all the more special as the Hawks came back from 20-some points down to win. For general NBA fans the contest represented a battle between Rajon Rondo and the next Rajon Rondo. Who won in this individual matchup? Rondo with 19 assists, 12 rebounds, and 2 points? Or Euro Rondo, with 15 points and 4 assists?
I’ll give you a hint: it’s the one that likes eating sauerkraut.
