Last year I wrote this line in reference to Jared Dudley’s jumpshooting: “He hasn’t been altogether successful at hitting them, considering how open he’s been, but that’s okay”.
It is no longer okay, now that he’s on the team geographically proximate to me. This guy rarely shoots contested shots, and his teammates do a good job setting him up, but he just bricks them anyway. The stats do not bear this out: he is apparently shooting 39% from three. This is when I get to accuse people of not watching the games if they disagree with me.
I know what I’ve seen with my own photoreceptor cells. No one can take that away from me, no amount of advanced stats can convince me of Jared Dudley’s competence.
