Giannis Antetokounmpo looks he travels on like half his drives. I’m not a ref, so my opinion means little, but it seems like he takes a lot of steps sometimes. Is he using a “gather step”? Is he performing a “crab dribble”?
It’s weird that I don’t remember many times recently that he got called for it. At the beginning of the season he was walking all the time trying to drive, though at the start of the move rather than at the end. And the refs obliged by blowing their whistles often.
I guess as long as they don’t call it he can keep doing it, it doesn’t really matter. Who cares about the integrity of the game when you can have more highlights? His herky-jerky contested drives would not be so effective were he constrained by the rules of the game.
