Thaddeus “The Mad Thadder” Young has benefited greatly from his recent change of scenery. It turns out that he’s not really suited to be a first option on a team, as was discovered both in his last year in Philly and his short stint in Minnesota. Playing with legit good players, the kind of players he didn’t really have in Minny, has allowed him to be more efficient.
Sure, the Nets’ future isn’t exactly bright, given their aging, past-their-prime core, but there’s also no guarantee that the Timberpuppies will ever be good again. Ever. That’s the kind of situation that Thaddeus, who is pretty much in his prime (he’s only 26), shouldn’t have to deal with.
The only crummy thing about New York is that they don’t really care about cheesesteaks there. Everybody in the whole damn city just eats pastrami sandwiches all day. I mean, I’m sure Thaddeus likes pastrami just fine, but cheesesteaks are where it’s at. Real talk.
