The 76ers just showed the world that a lineup consisting entirely of small forwards can compete to the end with a team that has a former MVP on it. JaKarr Sampson, who is, unsurprisingly, a small forward, was dubbed “Point Guard for a Day” by the Sixers’ coaching staff and made the most out of this once-in-a-lifetime challenge by scoring a career high.
Derrick Rose just could not handle this guy at all. It’s kind of funny that people use the phrase “too big too strong too fast too good” in reference to Rose when Sampson is in fact bigger and stronger than him. Maybe they should start saying “too small too weak” instead. Derrick Rose status: officially EXPOSED.
P.S. am I the only one thinking that Sampson looks totally like LeBron?
