I know it was only one game, but I think the Grizzlies’ bench now qualifies as a “bench mob”. Taking a huge deficit and reducing it to four by the end of the game while scoring 40 points in the final quarter is nutso. A game that was garbage time for most of the second half, magically transformed into non-garbage by Jordan Adams and company. Yes, “bench mob” is a perfect term to describe the Memphis backups.
Memphis might need them in the playoffs if they want to make some noise, given how uninspired the starters have been lately. What I’m saying is, I want to see Jordan Adams single-handedly win a game for the Grizz while Jeff Green watches from the sideline wondering why he ruined his team so bad.
