“Why do scrubs always go off on us?” is the bewildered cry of every NBA fan. It doesn’t seem fair; why should a player who is, by all accounts, not that great of a player, get to score any points at all against your favorite team? It’s ridiculous. And it always happens. Why?
The reasons are manifold. For one, some “scrubs” are in reality good players who are being held down (Norman Powell????? Yes). Them going off is a side-effect of them not being a true scrub.
Also, even legit scrubs are going off all the time in the NBA. It’s not just happening against your team, it’s just that you don’t pay enough attention to other teams to notice that it’s happening. Maybe it happens to bad teams slightly more than other teams, but every team in the league is guilty of letting a player like Norman Powell score something like 17 points.
For another, frickin’ Bucks. It’s the frickin’ Bucks, always letting scrubs go off on them. First Luke Babbitt, now some dude who could barely manage 10 before this game. This keeps happening and I am so mad right now.
