There are two questions to be asked when it comes to Ryan Hollins:
Question 1: Why is a 7-foot athletic specimen so bad at basketball?
Question 2: Why, if he is so bad at basketball, has he managed to carve out a decade-long career in the NBA?
The answers to these questions are unknowable. You’d think that after 10 years of NBA seasoning, that Hollins would have become somewhat adept at putting the ball in the hole. But he, very obviously, isn’t. And it is simply a fact of life that, despite sucking, Hollins will continue to receive NBA contracts for as long as he wants. You can’t teach height, as they say, but that doesn’t nearly explain the situation. If I had to guess, I’d say he has some really dirty dirt on Adam Silver or something, but that’s just speculation.
