I don’t know why the Orlando Magic aren’t better. They had all the pieces to be at least an 8th-seed type of team, and they can’t even manage that. It’s been this way for years, since a little after Dwight left; a core of young talent seemingly ready to bust out, only to miss the playoffs. What’s going on?
The Magic FO themselves apparently don’t know either, because they made a weird trade involving Tobias Harris to try and spark something. Nothing was sparked. It’s all the same depressing sludge as it was before.
All the above is why no one cares about Elfrid Payton. If he was putting up his numbers on a team that was relevant in the slightest, he’d have dickriders riding his dick 24/7. As it stands, he’s only ever talked about because his hair looks funny. People have even gotten tired of ragging on him for not having a jumper. This triple double will do little to improve his visibility; it’s close enough to the end of the season that non-playoffs teams are pretty much totally ignored at this point. Why are you even watching this? Don’t you have some Curry highlights or something to consume?
