There’s something about the “air” in Denver that transforms average foreign centers into production powerhouses. Nene, Petro (lol kidding on that one the rest are legit for real), Koufos, Mozgov, Vesely (lol got you again), Nurkic, and Jokic. There’s just something different about Denver, a culture, if you will, that encourages people to bring the best out of themselves.
Jusuf Nurkic has certainly noticed the passing abilities of Nikola Jokic, who has been receiving the bulk of the media attention. Instead of getting angry at the situation, Jusuf has constructively modified his game, cutting down on the taunting, becoming “mellower”, and upping his team play. The atmosphere of Denver and Colorado as a whole surely has had its effect on him, and we are all harvesting the benefits.
Fighting off a “respiratory issue” that threatened to sideline him, Jusuf put up his best game as a pro against the Lakers, scoring a career-high 18 points along with 5 fancy assists. The end of the season is fast approaching for the Nuggets, but the real season is just beginning for him.
I’M TALKING ABOUT WEED, PEOPLE.
