Shawn Long 13 Points 76ers Debut Full Highlights (3/6/2017)

10-day contract time is my favorite time of the NBA. By this point in the season, I’m bored of all the scrubs who have been scrubbing things up on rosters the whole season. I want new scrubs!

There is nothing quite like taking the wrapping off of a brand-new scrub and seeing what’s there. Nothing at all. Every 10-day is like Christmas for me. Do we get a guy who can surprisingly contribute (Shawn Long)? Or do we get a guy who can barely get in games and then gets let go without anyone even noticing his existence (Axel Toupane)? You never know! That’s the great part. If it were up to me, I would do highlights of every 10-dayer that passed through the doors of the NBA. However, it is more important to maintain something called “standards”, I feel. People would quickly turn on me if I started uploading vids of players scoring 0 points. I’m not Bootum.

Here we have the freshest D-League scrubbo: Shawn Long! I have come to the conclusion that the Bucks simply can’t handle any opposing bigman who can move around the court even a little bit. There is no reason Long Shawn Silver should be dropping 13 in his first actual NBA game. But he did, and it was legit, so here we are. It actually should have been even more pointage: 2 of 7 from the stripe prevented us from enjoying one of the better (maybe even the best besides Embiid, holy balls) NBA debuts of the season.
