I must reiterate: T.J. Warren needs to score 20 points per game this season. I will not tell you the reasons why this needs to happen, but rest assured, it does.
Alright, I’ll clue you in on one of the reasons. It’s so future people can look back at the statistics of the NBA before it was played by robots in zero-G and wonder at the fact that a total unknown rando scored 20 points per game. We already do that with Mike James (not the Suns one). I want people to be able to do it with Warren.
He’s almost there. He’s so close. 19.8 as of this writing. But we’re past the point of the season where single game point totals, unless they’re really huge, have much of an effect on the averages. We need more 30-point games is what I’m saying. All these 24, 25-point games are great, and I like making the highlights of them, but they’re not going to make up for the inevitable off nights.
