Oh boy, more Jae Crowder highlights that no one will watch. The deal with him throughout most of his career (all of it excluding maybe his Dallas days) is that he’s too much of a hard-nosed player for anyone not to hate him. Okay, “hate” is strong, but there are hardly any true fans of the old-school style of basketball where playing with relentless anger was the way to go. Some may claim to be, but they’d really rather just watch actual fights and would probably find boxing more to their tastes.
Jazz fans probably like him, at least a bit, but they already saw the game and have no need to watch highlights from a losing performance. They don’t want to be reminded of the loss even if Crowder did have a great individual night. Also, since it’s Utah, there may be some lingering uneasiness about his dreads. Sorry, low blow.
All those things combined mean that the only person who will watch this is Crowder himself. Hello Mr. Crowder! You did really good tonight and I think you’re a swell basketball player. If you see me on the street, please don’t kick my booty for all the mean things I’ve said about you in the past. Thanks!
