Masai Ujiri must still be really salty over having Giannis Antetokounmpo snatched up in front of him, because he’s seemingly trying to turn Pascal Siakam into a similar player after the failure of Bruno Caboclo to do the same. I mean, there’s no other reason for Siakam to be bringing the ball up the court, initiating the offense to a degree.
I got more Giannis-vibes from Siakam in this game than I ever had previously. Something to do with the huge stretchy dunk, the spin-move in transition with a hanging finger-roll finish, and the spastic post-up jump-hook. All that’s missing is the borked jumper. Wait, that’s still there too! Damn, this kid has really got it all.
Serge Ibaka stole the show for the Raptors, and he was great, but this is way more fun for me. Not a dull moment in this vid. Would it be better if it was instead a potential-realizing Caboclo doing these things? Of course. That goes without saying.
