If someone (it would have to be me, wouldn’t it) were to compile a list of least-relevant-but-not-terrible NBA players, Shelvin “The Macksturbator” Mack would have to be way up at the top. He’s for sure a competent backup PG, not a starter at all, but a guy who you feel kinda comfortable having on the court for chunks of the game. And he’s unknown to everybody. There’s never trade proposals for him, he goes silently from team to team without anybody noticing, and even fans of the teams he’s on forget about him.
There’s not really any reason to go more in-depth about this guy. Highlight videos of him go unconsumed, which means that these words will reach a limited audience. Meanwhile, Meyers Leonard just scored 15, and there’s a whole bunch of people just waiting to patronizingly/ironical watch a vid for him. No such irony exists for Mack.
Fine. One more tidbit, just for you. He reminds me of a worse Eric Bledsoe.
