Monte Morris 15 Points Full Highlights (11/9/2018)

It has been brought to my attention that Monte “Monte’s Inferno” Morris has an astounding assist-to-turnover ratio, so I went and check it out. Indeed, the numbers are astounding for a second-year player who played just 25 total minutes in his first year: forty assists to five turnovers. Using advanced calculus and other, even more obscure branches of mathematics, I have determined that this is an 8-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Nice.

The only problem I see with Monte Morris isn’t even really his problem. It’s actually more a of a DTB problem. But having to hear his name gives me flashbacks to the days of Monta Ellis on the Bucks. The two names aren’t even spelled the same but they might as well be. So, from now on, Monte’s new first name is “Rick”. That way I don’t have to get PTSD from typing these descriptions, even though the Nuggets commentators will resolutely continue to use his birth name “Monte”.

The other thing I noticed about Rick Morris is that he looks a lot like the late great Brian Roberts. I think it’s the goatee and skin tone mostly, but they’re almost like twins. Brian Roberts had a pretty decent NBA career all things considered so this should not be considered a dig at Morris at all.
