Tony Parker 24 Points Full Highlights (11/11/2018)

I don’t care what Morey thinks the most efficient or best basketball is. I will always love the midrange jumper. And I know I’m not alone. People are pretending to really enjoy this new three-point era. For sure, players like Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Brook Lopez are great to watch when they’re hot from deep. But what about all the other meatballs who just chuck without any regard for the aesthetics of the game?

The reason I’m talking about this is because Tony Parker had some really sweet midrange pull-ups of the dribble tonight. Much reviled, this shot type, but one of the prettiest. He’s a product of a different time, when floaters were not reserved only for unathletic white dudes and three-pointers were seen as equals with two-pointers. He hit a few from deep to end his night, but the majority of his pointage came off of him doing things in a one-on-one situation.

The Spurs have been without a point guard for a while (I guess Derrick White finally came back so now they have one instead of zero). You know what I’m thinking? That’s right! Trade Tony Parker for Thon Maker. The Bucks could use just one more bit of vet leadership. And I know Michael Jordan loves his crappy white centers. Maker already lied about his age, why should we assume he isn’t lying about his skin color too?
