I would like to apologize to Trey Lyles for not making a video for his seventeen-point performance on October 29. Similarly, I ignored his sixteen points scored against Memphis on November 7. The long eons of injustice have finally ended, and with their demise a new era of unparalelled fairness and equity is ushered in.
Now that I’ve apologized for something, I want Lyles to apologize for his terrible three-point shooting this season. 20% before this game? What happened to the Trey Lyles that emerged for part of last season in the wake of Paul Millsap’s injury? Does that version of Lyles only appear when he gets thirty minutes a game? Getting hella minutes shouldn’t be a prerequisite for being an adequate shooter from deep.
Also, if you want to amuse yourself, watch those turnaround jumpers that Lyles hit and then imagine how I was reacting to those shots. Hint: tears, wails, and self-punching were some of the components of my reaction.
