Everyone already knows it, but I’m going to repeat it so that everyone feels all warm and fuzzy inside: Derrick Rose is playing the best he has since his last All-Star season. Doesn’t that just make you feel happy? If you’re not feeling it, try to forget about the rape allegations. I’ve been doing a great job of separating off-court stuff from on-court stuff and it makes things so much more fun, even if it is a bit irresponsible. But seriously, do you think that kid in the thumbnail cares? Heck no. He just wants to see the ball go in the hole, and he wants to see Rose do it.
I’m holding out hope that the trade of Jimmy Butler and his cancerous cancer unlocks the Timberwolves. Rose has already been unlocked, but there are other players who are still stuck in the mud. Here’s a hint for Rose: if you want Karl-Anthony Towns to be good, just run pick-and-pops with him all the time for midrange/threerange jumpers. Just like how Ricky Rubio did it. It’s free assists, and then Towns can stop being all weird and start being dominant again.
