The three-point shooting version of himself that Jarrett Allen teased us with in the season opener has not made another appearance. He made two triples that game, leading me to believe that he Kenny Atkinson was doing to him what he did with Brook Lopez. Since that game? You guessed it, zero threes. He’s barely even trying them. That’s the only way to make them, but he’s not even doing that first step. It’s the simplest step too. Even I could go out there and shoot NBA threes. They’d get blocked every time, but that still counts as an attempt.
I wouldn’t even be mad if he wasn’t such a tease about it. I’m totally fine with players playing to their strengths, which in his case is dunking the ball. But I do not like to be misled.
As implied, there are no threes in this video. But there are a whole bunch of other things. Mainly dunks and free throws, but more of them in aggregate than ever before. The fro-show to end all fro-shows. 24 points, and I’m not salty at all that the Bucks didn’t draft him even though I wanted them too (check my Twitter for evidence, I’m not lying to make myself look better after the fact). This game alone is more points than the Bucks’ actual pick has scored in his entire career, by the way.
