Kyle Lowry had 17 assists tonight, and by my unofficial count, 16 of them went to Jonas Valanciunas, and one of them went to Nick Nurse. I think a fruit basket or something is in order, because Valanciunas graciously let Lowry have one of the best passing games of his career.
Don’t ask me why the boxscore says he only scored 24 points. I don’t know. Ask the NBA people why their stats are all messed up, because I watched this game and Lowry dimed Valanciunas 16 times. I said that was an unofficial count before, but now I’m saying it’s an official count. Because I officially counted them all them from 1 all the way to 16.
In true DownToBuck fashion, I ignored the reality of what happened while making this video and simply followed the play-by-play data provided to me, erroneous as it may be. In the end, the NBA is allowed to alter the reality of their product by fabricating boxscores and play-by-play data out of thin air if they want to. They are also allowed to doctor video footage of events. A disturbing state of affairs, but what can we do? There is no rising against the corporate NBA behemoth and it’s vast network of shadow operatives both inside and outside the government.
