This Cory Joseph highlight video marks the first time this season that I have made a video for either the Pacers’ starting point guard (Darren Collison) or his primary backup (Cory Joseph). I’ve made two videos for the third-stringer, Aaron Holiday, but somehow, the two guys who are getting the bulk of the PG minutes for the Pacers have avoided highlightage up to this point.
I investigated the situation and it turns out that these eighteen points are the most that either player has scored this season. What the heck? It wasn’t that long ago in Sacramento that Collison was basically averaging this many points per game, but his season high is seventeen, and he’s had many games in the single digits. His three-point shooting, which was 46% last season, is down to 32%. Joseph has never been a scoring machine, but his numbers aren’t very exciting either.
Given the sad state of PG play in Indiana, it’s no wonder that I haven’t been able to feature their point guards on my channel. I’m going to blame Victor Oladipo and Tyreke Evans for this sad state of affairs. Except it’s not that sad because there have been periods of time over the last half decade where I was getting really tired of having to make videos for both Collison and Joseph. It’s been nice having a break from them.
